Starting a blog about the life and times of a aspiring writer

When I started this process a year and a half ago I had high aspirations, “I will be the best writer since Dostoevsky.” I don’t know who he is… he was the guy that wrote Who Moved my Cheese?, correct?

I was thinking at that time I would write a book, it would get it published, and people would love it. The End.

I would write the next book, and the next, the next. That would be how it goes. I wouldn’t have to market, or to spend more hours each day looking for someone to even glance at the manuscript.

Yeah, that ain’t how it works. It has taken a huge chunk of my time to move from writing to non-writing “marketing” activities, resulting in a good amount of hand wringing on my part.

Man, I was very naive. Granted anyone who has no worldly experience in any known, or unknown, field would be blindsided by some of the more unseen details. So I can’t be too harsh on myself.

Now I started a website, opened up social media profiles, and just started posting blatherings. Some are more well thought out than others.

The plan is to post here as details about the book come up or a thought hits me that I should write down. Additionally, if there are questions for me feel free to email me. I would gladly answer just about anything you could ask.
